if it were only somewhere near affordable. i've wanted one of those little guys since i was a wee gearwhore. the sounds you can get out of that thing are just amazing. the demos on the site are horrible, don't do it justice at all.

the sidstation is wicked too.

got me excited for that!! A 1,100$ drum/syth seq.. no thanks.
Synth sounds in the demo's dont come close to laptop/software sytnh sounds (let alone the GUI)

I don't know, these days if a product does not sample, I just feel like its a waste of money, for me the very nature of sampling makes it open ended and truly the last frontier for musical creativity.

trust me folks, this little guy is worth every penny. it doesn't sample, but it'll make every synth perc sound you've ever heard and that's just the beginning. the sounds you can get out of this this sound just like the wicked funkstorung/autechre beats that are all over the place. i'd pick one up in a new york minute if i had the scratch. i've got some links here to other machinedrum samples.

Wow! I checked out the samples on both emusician and elektron pages and I have to say it sounds very impressive. Especially the bass sounds...
