I've been having trouble getting any of my 64bit VSTs to open in Ableton 9, and a lot of people with similar problems seem to have fixed it by ticking Use Audio Units in the File Folder tab of the preferences menu
Unfortunately my File Folder tab looks like this (look at the Plugin Sources section)
Maybe if I can fix this, I can get my VSTs to work as well?
help
Preferences menu isn't showing me Plug-In Sources options
Re: Preferences menu isn't showing me Plug-In Sources options
Audio Units are for Macs, looks like you are running Windows. Gonna have to try something else.
I'd recommend not buying an Apple computer just to fix this issue.

Ah I see. Thanks for the response, it's probably some kind of library issue in this case, guess I'll just have to play around with it.
oh and I appreciate the recommendation ahaha

Hold down alt when you rescan for plug-ins. This looks not only for "new" ones. but all. Sometimes you may have to disable plug-ins and re-enable them after.WRLDR wrote:I've been having trouble getting any of my 64bit VSTs to open in Ableton 9, and a lot of people with similar problems seem to have fixed it by ticking Use Audio Units in the File Folder tab of the preferences menu

Another common issue in Windows are improper folder permissions for the VST folder or for its content.
Make some music!

What plug ins do you use?? That's a weird directory for vsts. You're not moving files around by hand are you??
