vintage stutter problem !

Hello All,
I like to maintain my workspace with just always the same stuff, not getting in the flow of always newer versions. But now I run in problems.

Suddenly on very simple tracks with not much softsynth and overload of strange plugins (I have used the same for years with no problem)I get stuttering moments, and even slowing down or getting out of measure.
My CPU-meter is really relax, at the most a peak of 11% or something, usually between 4% and 7%

I fear it is a laptop-problem, but maybe someone of you knows what are the elements that could create this stress.
Today it was all fine, but I am afraid for the shows.

Off the top of my head I would check to see how full your hard drive is. If you're over 90 percent full you could run into problems.
