„10.0.2 has only been made available to a select group of beta testers via auto updates at this point“
...this is not true in my case…

How did you get notified that 10.0.2 was released then? If notifications mistakenly went out to the wrong group of users, we’d like to know.scheffkoch wrote:„10.0.2 has only been made available to a select group of beta testers via auto updates at this point“

Re: 10.0.2 release date?
Could you please clarify your timeline here? You're using language indicating 10.0.2 still hasn't been released, yet there is a release page publicly available, the update is in my account page at least and 10.0.1 release autoupdated to 10.0.2. I'm on the beta program, but that doesn't explain the official release page.Tarekith wrote:How did you get notified that 10.0.2 was released then? Surely you meant to say that some days ago the release wasn't publicly available and you talked about circumstances and the situation surrounding that? You're not talking about today?

They had to wait till it was Tuesday.
Somewhere.
Around noon Berlin time the first timezones are past the international date line.

Re: 10.0.2 release date?
Ableton use a fashionable programming and release paradigm known as "floating Tuesday". It's a much more advanced kind of Tuesday but causes confusion with customers as Floating Tuesdays can occur at any time.
To avoid complaints and complex explanations Ableton have chosen to omit all mention of the floating Tuesday methodology from the current manual.
Note: one of the major tenets of traditional Tuesday programming which carries over to Floating Tuesday is "never push a release right before a forecast sunny weekend in Berlin unless you wanna work support over the weekend."

Thanks for the clarification, that helps. Occasionally the updates and release notes are available on the server a bit before it is officially announced to the public at large, and only a few of the beta testers should be auto updated or notified it is available at this earlier date. Just wanted to make sure some how you hadn’t been accidentally auto updated earlier than planned.scheffkoch wrote:"How did you get notified that 10.0.2 was released then?"

Well that would explain why it was already updated to 10.0.2 yesterday when I launched live 10.Tarekith wrote:Thanks for the clarification, that helps. Re: 10.0.2 release date?
aupreset support is still broken, can't see them for any of my au plugins that need host support. Is there something else I need to do to get them to show other than click on the open arrow by the plugin? (e.g. scan something, add a path etc?)
Re: 10.0.2 release date?
Meanwhile, the Ableton newsletter "Check out our latest videos and grab some free downloads" lands in everyone's inbox. Not the newsletter everyone was expecting.

What would you say was the headline feature of 10.0.2 ?sporkles wrote:Meanwhile, the Ableton newsletter "Check out our latest videos and grab some free downloads" lands in everyone's inbox. Not the newsletter everyone was expecting.
Probably the most noteworthy item is "Reintroduced the toggle button for showing/hiding additional automation lanes." but even that's not exactly a news item is it?
Fades no longer snap to the Arrangement View grid , also welcome, but ... y'know.
Re: 10.0.2 release date?
I hear you, but there's usually an email announcing new versions, small or big, isn't there?
