SIMPLER Filters Question

Post by aex1 » Mon Jul 11, 2005 3:56 pm

hi,

i hadnt really used simpler so far but im getting the hang of it. just now i was wondering in what respect LP1 and LP2 differ, technically. LP1 gets very resonant and bubbly on hi resonance settings, wheres LP2 remains dryer and tighter .... kindof. i didnt find info on this in the manual, so does anybody have a more thorough explanation of the differences between the 2 (and the BP and HP pairs)?

thanks

EDIT: Ah sorry, i was blind, so according to the manual it's 12db and 24db, doh. still surprised by the huge difference in resonation bewteen the two though, i didnt experience this behaviour in other synths.

lp 1 and 2 are lowpass filters.

bp is band pass.

hp is high pass.

you can google any of the above and find tons of info if you want to learn about filters.
