Recording level too low

I recently got Live Lite 9, and I had recorded a fair amount of stuff on it. However, out of nowhere, it started recording everything at such high levels that even with my Scarlett turned all the way down (as far as it goes while still picking up sound) it would peak. I restarted my computer, and it worked fine for thirty seconds, and then it started recording at extremely low levels. I can turn the gain on my Focusrite all the way up, and it will clearly be peaking on the Focusrite as I yell into my mic, but it will barely pick up in Ableton. Somebody please help me!!!
