ios app to ableton bitchin bluetooth connection problem

what could be the problem here ? …, trying to send midi via bluetooth from ios app (arpeggionome pro) to ableton in mac book pro

after much hassle it randomly kicked in the other day and now i cannot connect it again

arp network session 1 enabled - link enabled in ableton

ipad - bluetooth enabled and shows my macbook pro as connected and macbook pro bluetooth preferences show ipad as connected

audio/midi settings shows laptop discoverable and ipad device found but offline (?)

as i said this is how it was the other day when it decided to randomly connect - i ve tried restarting - turning bluetooth on and off etc
