Live 10 is the most UNstable version to date for me.

Since the upgrade from 9 to 10, have to run Live 10 always in admin mode, i don't know what happened but the upgrade seems to have lost privileges in win 10, can't update normal because read only comment in the orange bar below in ableton. Live 9 runs without it.
But that's not the biggy.
Lags, hangs when closing sets, bug reports all over.

Live 5,6,7,8 9, never had a problem.

For me Live 10 was super stable even before the release (was participating in the beta).
But this recent update (10.03) is driving my PC crazy.

Following up with my post earlier this week. Running 10.0.3 now and this solved all my problems, haven't had a crash since moving to this version and the au synth settings now work. I was very disappointed after upgrading from 9.7.6 to 10.0.2 at first, but 10.0.3 seems good.
(This is on a 2011 iMac with 10.13.6).

Same suggestion to me and worked. The file name is Options.txt and the option is -_ForceGdiBackend
Worked for me, didn't rollback the video driver. Thx.

So standard, stable, update cycle then. A year or two before things settle down.

yeah, 9 got progressively more stable for me. Any version <=9.2 was abominable on my system and while 9.5 fixed most of my issues, 9.6.something was the one where it all worked.
So, a long road ahead.

I personally have never come across such instability issues, yes there is the random crash in a 5-hour long session from time to time but I will be hard pressed to remember a day it crashed twice a day.

What is your channel count as well as 3rd party instruments and plugins?

It still took me a couple of years to upgrade to 8 then 9, can't care much about other features than stability :)

there's an awful lot of bugs being addressed in the betas...

I'm on OSX, 9 was so very solid, and 10 has been horrible. Downloading 10.03 now, I hope it helps. So far I can't believe 10 made it out of beta :(

Again, your opinions on the current 10 version?

I really don't need it except multiple MIDI editor window, which I really would like to have.

I am on OS X El Capitan. Use so far with no problem 9.7.6.
