Live 10.03 lagging like hell - SOLVED!!

Live 10.03 laggs like hell :(

Was previously on Live 10.02 and it worked flawless. It seems that it updated itself yesterday and now its lagging like crazy, even freezing my PC.
Anybody else experiencing this?

WIN 10, 64Bit. Nothing changed besides the Ableton Live update from 10.02 - 10.03.

EDIT:
Here is the fix (at least it worked for me)
-Create an option text file like in the description here:
https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... s-txt-file

-copy this this inside the text file: -_ForceGdiBackend

-put it in the folder as described in the upper link

-restart Live 10.03 (or install it)

Please directly contact our Tech Support with this issue, via https://www.ableton.com/en/help/ and include a recent Live 10.0.3 Status Report in your mail.
They will take a deeper look into this and assist you further.

Done that already. :)
Hope you guys can help me out. Never had a problem with Live so far, also never with any updates. Even the Betas where running rock solid.

BTW: bugreport is in german language in case you are looking for it.

No problem with german language there. - Does this mean that 10.0.3b8 was running completely smooth for you? In this case, this problem would be really odd... You can also check if the Indexer is currently working in 10.0.3 and maybe causing the lag. But in any case, let's see what the further investigation and status report assessment @Support reveals.

Didn´t used a Beta since Live 10 came out.

I did a complete uninstall of Live 10.03, even deleted all the hidden folders (like the uninstall guide from the Ableton homepage explained).
Reinstalled Live 10.03 new and it started lagging right from the start.
Uninstalled Live 10.03 completely and reinstalled Live 10.02: no lagging or freezing at all. So, definetely something weird happening with 10.03 at least on my machine.

Is the 10.0.3 lag issue primarily Windows? How is it on Mac?

Will try this solution and see if that works:

EDIT:
Wow, it really worked! :D

At least for me.

So only adding _ForceGdiBackend to Options.txt removed your issue? That's all you did? Anyone tell you what this do?
What graphics card and which driver do you have, that you didn't rollback?

The quote was from another thread in this forum regarding laggs. The option text thing as advised from the Ableton support to that user and worked fro him and another guy, so i gave it a shot and it worked out for me. The support advised to even roll back the graphic card driver but the person didn´t do that and it worked, so i didnt do it as well (and it worked for me as well). So, only thing i did was creating the optiosn text file with the code in it and placed it in the specific hidden abelton folder. Then installed Live 10.03 and it started without stuttering or lagging.

Not Here...

I was working on a project using 10.0.2, everything went fine. Now in 10.0.3 it's glitching like crazy. I tried your option.txt trick without success.

Unfortunately, I don't have a 10.0.2 installation file.

Oh well...

I think that might be for Windows only.

I found this same issue on Windows 10 and 10.0.3. Support has given me the same reply as above which I haven't been able to try out just yet. but I found I could workaround the problem by setting the UI zoom at anything other than 100% (eg 101% or 99%).
