To give Live 10 full read write options in win 10 i've been reading this:
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-take ... windows-10

But can anyone point out if i have to set Only live.exe to the username group? or a whole set of folders containing Ableton?
Don't want to screw up.

Are you not already using an admin account in Windows?

Should be a simple case of just install Live, probably not to Program Files, but where it wants to go, ProgramData

It's already installed in programdata, upgraded live 9 to 10.
I run live 10 in "always run as administrator"mode. since the release of live 10.
But in "run in admin mode" gives problems when dragging media files into ableton.
Not " always run in admin mode" gives can't auto update live and live points out to a orange warning that it's read only. That's how i found out that live is on a readonly space.

So, after searching around, Ableton shared the link i opened the post with.
Conclusion is it probably will be fixed with changing the admin privileges so running as administrator is not necessary anymore.
Hence, forgive me as i am not a IT specialist.
My question is still open.
