controller latency

Post by 5dn » Sun Sep 09, 2018 10:21 am

Dear Abletoners,

I have an ALESIS V49 plugged via USB into my computer. How does one reduce MIDI latency?

It's unplayable at the moment :(

Thanks

PC, Windows 10, quad core i5, 64GB RAM, it's like that without softsynths
usually can run loads of stuff b4 CPU problems

but this happens anyway

A low buffersize is vital for low latency with softsynts and stuff.....

Most run between 128 and 256 samples, and some even lower settings depending on their system and interface.
