Drumbus transients.

I know the drumbus is meant for color.
But would love it for clean transient shaping.
The only thing that sits in the way is the color , can't bypass it.

Compressor has an "expand" mode.
You could also check the Transient Machine m4l devices by Surreal Machines, they're awesome.

I recently bought Transient Machines. Highly recommended tool. It can really bring out some magic in sounds. And also very useful for tackling transients that are sticking out. I often use it for softening sounds myself.
