Ableton Malfunction

Hey, I am an avid fan of Ableton. I have been using the software for my church for the last year now and never have had a problem. However; when I begin using midi clips to fire other scenes, I keep having the same issue. when I try and program the midi controller to the speaker on/off button, it begins to blink rapidly and Ableton begins to crash. I really wanna be able to control the song order using the midi clips but it just refuses to work. any advice???

You provided almost no information that can help trying to troubleshoot that.

My only pure guess would be you set a MIDI feedback loop (MIDI output being fed into the same input).
