Be nice to be able to record drums tight, but not MACHINE tight, right?
(What I mean is - live record MIDI in, and have it e.g. 70% quantized to 16ths - not HARD on the 16ths as seems to be the only option now).
I felt sure someone must have made a Max for Live patch to do it, but I can't seem to find one.
Anyone found a way to do this?

Re: Iterative Record Quantization?
Hmmm, in the quantize settings can you not change the % amount? Not sure if this impacts the midi in quant or only quantization after the fact...jomtones wrote:Be nice to be able to record drums tight, but not MACHINE tight, right?

Think that's only after the fact... someone please correct me if I'm wrong! Will test.
Meantime, I found a few Max devices that do live quantize, but all 100% to the grid. Not sure yet if it would be possible to modify them to make an iterative version.

Anyone good at Max who can check this out?
