I think this a weird problem!

Hi dear Ableton users,

I have a weird problem with my Ableton Live 10.
My MacBook Pro’s battery stop charging and go down when i use Ableton with Waves Audio plugins… and when I stop working, charging starts normal… I have no idea what is that problem and I don’t know what to do!!!
Do you have any idea?

firstly, are you using the power adapter that came with your MacBook Pro?

secondly, when pushed to their power consumption limit, some MacBook Pros use slightly more power than their power adapters can supply.

Yes, I am using the adapter (85W) that came with my MacBook Pro 15".

under heavy load, those machines can definitely can use slightly more power than the power adapter can put out, meaning that the battery won't charge until the power consumption drops.

Try resetting the SMC.

Shut down the computer and hold down shift + control + option + power button for 10 seconds. Then start it up again.
