Hi all,

I'm having real problems with a graphics with on Live 7 on a Win 10 machine. Here is my spec:

Ableton Version 7.0.18
Windows 10 PC Intel core i7-3770 3.40Ghz
16gb RAM
64 bit
All windows updates installed
Microsoft Visual C++ installed
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Focusrite Saffire Pro firewire
No problems running other DAW software (such as cubase, reason etc)
Sound on Ableton Live is fine

There is a serious lag in the visuals. Also, calling up windows (such as preferences) in Live also results in black windows (see image below). I've tried reinstalling the graphics card driver (Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
) to no avail. I've tried reinstalling the software a number of times. The CPU is not under pressure at all. Any ideas?

Yours confused,
Animator.

Live 7 was released over 10 years ago..

Maybe time for an upgrade? A lot has changed.

It works beautifully on other windows 10 machines, so I'm confused. I also love version 7 as it's absolutely solid.

Which video card/chipset is in the Win10 machines that work, vs what doesn't work?

I can't see Live 7 being optimized for modern CPUs or GPUs
