2 questions on v10 - operations

Hi all,

1: I used to be able to highlight a section of an audio clip and past it elsewhere but now its seems I need to slice the clip 1st to be able to do this. Have I misunderstood something here or is this a new operation?

2: I see ABE's new backup operation creates files that are being send to Trashcan. Anyway to turn this off?
