multi stereo channels, similar to multi band

Post by Sinox » Tue Jan 22, 2019 4:04 pm

Hi,

I'm trying out splitting a stereo (L/R) input into six output (band 1 L/R , band 2 L/R, band 3 L/R).
For the splitter, I'm using my own VST based splitter with two inputs and six outputs.
It is similar to a three band compressor, but here I want to give each stereo band a different process.
I want to leave it uncombined, meaning NOT down mix to 2 channels, but send all six output to the main bus.

How can I do that, i.e. take a stereo input channel and send it to six outputs with a 'three band splitter' in it ?

...to distribute a 1 stereo channel to 3 stereo channels you simply choose the 1 channel as the input source of your 3 channels...
macbook pro m1pro, macos monterey, rme multiface via sonnet echo express se I, push 2, faderfox mx12, xone:k2

OK - so with this answer where do I locate the '3 band splitter' ?
I need it to be single, not three different '3 band aplitters'.

Create three tracks. Set the audio input of each of these tracks to the audio output from your original track. That's it. No "splitter" required.

Hi,

What do you mean, "no splitter required".
I need this setup to test tje splitter.

Ill explain again.
Im designing a VST splitter. Its input is stereo (L/R).
Its output is 6 channels (1 band L/R, 2 band L/R, 3 band L/R).
I want to use a single splitter.

In other DAW I can set up a 5.1 or 6 channel track.
Then re route its internal routing (cubase).
Can this be done on Abelton? Or other similar technique?
