Controlling Midi Devices from one ‘master track’?

Is it possible to have one dedicated track (in session view) controlling parameters of devices in other tracks? I’d like to create a ‘master effects’ channel loaded with clips that I can fire with my APC 40 that modulate, or activate parameters on devices across all other tracks. If that makes sense.

(Ableton 9)

Cheers,

Route all of your tracks to this one "Master FX" Track...

Fill it with all of the audio effects you want...

Create Dummy Clips to control the FX...

Good tip, but in my case not exactly what I’m looking for. I probably didn't explain properly and using the word 'master' was misleading. I don't want to send all my tracks to a master effects bus, just activate parameters on a mix of insert devices (both midi & audio) from a single track containing dummy clips.

Lets say I have a midi device (Arpeggiator) on one track, a delay on a second track, and a bit-crusher on a 3rd. I'd like to activate the delay on the 2nd track by firing a dummy clip, then fire another dummy clip to activate the arpeggiator on the 1st track. I want to do this all from a single track so I can fire the clips from my APC40 without jumping around trying to locate the right track.

Is that possible?

Cheers.

I've watched quite a few Clyphx tutorials but haven't found one that demonstrates exaclty how to do this. if you know of one, can you post the URL here? Thanks.

There won't be one that demonstrates exactly that, you can use CLyphX Pro to do pretty much everything you want...

The manual gives details on all the actions you can achieve via the various triggers available.

so just to confirm, I can use just one track in Live loaded with Clyphx clips to activate Ableton's Arpeggiator on a midi track, and change parameters on a delay plugin on a different audio track?

Can you combine multiple actions, like above, into one clip?

Yes, that's covered in the manual...
