USING EXTERNAL MIDI DEVICE (BOSS-ES8) TO CONTROL ABELTON

Hey all, so my goal is to control Abelton remotely (launch button, record button, track/song selection & stop button) via my BOSS ES-8 on the floor. Basically when I change patches/songs (Switch 1 on ES-8) I want my BOSS-ES-8 to send MIDI message to select the correct Track; Record & Play simultaneously in Abelton so I don't have to run back to the computer everytime. Honestly, I have no idea where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
