Hey there so I've been building a lot of loops free hand (finger drumming) with samples of various lengths in drum racks - basically one shots with different decay times/different rhythms to try and get some weird patterns . they sound great. only thing is they are not fixed to a grid. Basically I started the session at my default tempo (84) and just hit record (no metronome) and mashed away until I found something cool and looped it (off the grid).
Is there anyway to bring this off kilter loop into a fixed grid that matches it's tempo without compromising the rhythms and having to rewarp everything? Like a magic wand that kind of goes 'BANG! GRID'.
any kind of tips to ease the work flow?
I mean I know I could just tap to tempo and stretch the loop but won't that mess up all the nuanced hits? Warp mode is enabled on all my one shot samples in drum rack btw.
