Arrangement view without any beat/tempo grid?

Post by r_constanzo » Thu Jan 31, 2019 7:57 pm

Bit of a noob-ish question here, but is there a way to remove the beat-based grid in the arrangement view at all?

I'm super used to working inside Logic when you turn off "use musical grid", so instead you see time and time-based timeline divisions, and would like to do the same in Live.

I know I can just ignore the grid, and ignore the tempo, and ignore the beat-based timeline at the top of the view, but it's super annoying having all of that "in the way" when trying to make music that isn't based around those concepts.

You can disable the grid locking (right-click and Grid OFF) but you cannot completely remove it.

That's a bummer.

Rather, that definitely helps, but with the visual clutter there it's still not a pleasant place to work.

I guess maybe if I sent the time signature to 10/4 and the tempo to 60, it will at least look like "time" as the grid.
