Detail area hide on opening

Is there a way to have the Detail area hidden by default on opening? Or remember the previous setting, like the browser.

Easiest way to have everything set up how you'd like when you open Live is to create a template.

Even if you create a template with the Detail area closed when you create a new session it is open again.
