Alternatives to RokVid????

Post by Airfixx » Wed Feb 13, 2019 6:47 pm

Hi all,

Been using Max4LIve device RokVid within Live for a little while and whilst its a pretty fun plug-in there are a few things that hinder it from being usable in a more serious way...

- No ability to bounce the processed video content created
- No way of synching the video start to the AbletonLive session start.
- You cannot remove items from the video playlist
- Even once using the recommended Video-Jpeg file format it still kills my CPU.

Can anyone recommend alternatives or work-arounds?

Also, I am seeking solutions to the opposite scenario i.e. processing audio based on video behaviour. I'm aware these things can be built in MAX msp, but my MAX-skills are extremely limited atm....

Thanks in advance for any help offered!

Would be one of your alternatives, it's currently Mac only but a windows version is being worked on...

With the latest version it also operates with Syphon IN, so you can use the rest of our World Collection to create generative visuals to mix with your video...
