Clip Playing Without a Waveform

I have just recorded a clip in the arrangement view and moved it on the timeline. The problem is that it still plays at the time where it used to be located even though there is no waveform at that location. I can see the db meters moving for that track even though there is nothing there. The only work around is to put a Track Volume envelope on the track and zero it at the point it plays without a waveform. Is this a bug?

Are you sure you don't have a clip in session view playing at the same time?

No, all the clips are off in Session View. On other thing I should add though is that in its original position I used Melodyne to correct some of the notes in arrangement view and wonder if that has something to do with it?
