Dear forum members,
my old midi keyboard has started to act weird lately, it's time to get a new one. I am not after a huge amount of functions, but I want decent quality keys! I want:
* 4-6 octaves
* Pitchbend and modulation wheels
* Probably semi weighted keys
* Velocity sensitivity
* It would be nice to be able to browse patches in most virtual instruments with it (I guess this can be done by the keyboard simulating computer keyboard left, right, up, down keys?)
* Easy to setup to work with Live
Thanks for your suggestions,
Sven
Best simple midi keyboard for Live?
Re: Best simple midi keyboard for Live?
I have read a few good things about Arturia KeyLab MK2. Is there any forum member that has first hand experience with this keyboard in Live?
Re: Best simple midi keyboard for Live?
i'm back to using my motif as my main workhorse but I have an Alesis VI49, the keys are really nice and it has pitch and modulation as well as assignable knob and buttons, Ableton picks it up as a control surface as well, not sure about browsing patches in vst's with it
