Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here? I see the midi device listed in preferences ->Link Midi, the device appears on my track, the device is selected in MIDI from, the track is active, Monitor in is selected, and I see the midi info blinking in the the little square box to the upper right of the D in the upper right hand corner of Ableton Live.
Update: When I create a new session, midi flows to the track, however after I add a few more midi tracks, midi stops flowing to the original track that I wanted.
Midi appears to flow into Ableton, but not to track

Maybe you are forgetting to arm the tracks?:

Arming the tracks doesn't appear to be the issue, but thank you for your suggestion. It's strange. It appears to be an ordering issue, that is, the order in which the VSTs are added to several midi tracks, although I am not sure what the issue is for sure. I was able to prevent the issue in a new session file by setting up the above mentioned midi track first.
