Launchpad Museum Installation

Post by mrotterdam » Tue Apr 30, 2019 11:30 am

Hi!

I have a Launchpad Midi which is operating in a museum installation. As it's installed in the exhibition with audience involvement I am trying to find a way to make it work without songs interfering with each other.

I currently have three track bars with multiple tracks in each. Most of them are interviews and I want the audience to be able to listen and skip to the next one.

I made all tracks' launch mode to Toggle. I tried it in Gate mode for a few weeks but seems that people do not figure out that they need to keep holding the buttons down. I do not want to use the drum rack option as its also not the most suitable for me. What can I do to split each button/track in a way that you press to a new button to end the previous track. In Toggle mode it still gets mixed in between track bars. Does anyone knows what is possible?

I really appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Su

by my understanding of your setup I'd use collapsed group tracks which contain the 3 tracks, and turn off quantise for the clip trigger.
