Undue Button?

Post by ArtyBrut » Sat May 11, 2019 11:15 pm

Hello Musical Techminded fortunate People,
I’m trying to find an “undue button” that I can map to my foot midi controller (Softstep 2). I don’t want a key command for the keyboard, unless one can map a key command easily to the midi foot controller.

Thank you for your time..

Hello and Thank you for your response and M4L creation. I do have three questions I hope you can help me with. If I have Ableton 9 and not Max for Live can I use it? If so, do I just download it? If not, do you have another suggestion?

Thanks for your time.

No you can't without M4L.
Another solution is to use a program like Bome Midi Translator (there's other similar programs, also depending on your OS), and set it up to trigger the cmd-z key command to Live when triggering one of your footpedal.

Thank you again. Much appreciated. I think I found a cheaper solution in a free? app called MidiStroke. I’m going to give it a try today.

This seems to work well with softstep midi foot controller.

I think what we need now in Live is an 'overdue' button, for those projects that should've been finished weeks ago...
