Odd meters and alternating time sigs in Session?

Post by flipmowse » Thu May 23, 2019 7:54 pm

Noobie question--please forgive my ignorance.

I want to do live performance of a piece that is structured in blocks of 3 bars 11/8 + 1 bar 8/8 (or 4/4 however you look at it). It would REALLY help to have the metronome going to keep me on track (140 bpm), and even more, it would be really helpful to have the subdivisions highlighted in the click (e.g., by a stronger "click"). Is there any way to do this? I can see where I *could* just make the time sig 41/8, and maybe that could help with quantization (?) but that seems a bit nuts. Alternatively, I could make a click track to use as a metronome and send the audio to Cue? I'd welcome thoughts/advice.

If you name your scenes with a tempo (and a sig value, that's optional), Live will change its parameters accordingly and the metronome too.
example, name 3 different scenes like this:

110BPM 11/8
140BPM 3/2
120BPM 4/4

then, clicking a scene play button will update to these values.
