Omnisphere 2 + Max LFO modulation not possible

Post by alba63 » Sun Jun 09, 2019 3:36 pm

Hi,
I recently bought the "Omnisphere 2" synth and tried out a few things in Ableton V10 (and V9). I noticed that unlike other synths I generally use, it doesn't seem to be possible to control synth parameters (knobs) by linking them to a "Max for Live" LFO. I found this one of the revolutionary features of Ableton to be able to to modulate everything by an LFO, like synth filters.
Now omnisphere has got lots of LFOs itself, and yet I'd like to know if there is a way to use also external moduels like the Max LFOs.

Thanks.

You may need to right-click the parameter in Omnisphere you want to automate and select "Enable Host Automation"

Ha! That was easy, thank you so much. It should be enabled by default, like with every other VST instrument... But it now works of course.

There’s way too many parameters in Omni to have them all in by default.

Year its a common, issue esp when people use Omnisphere for the first time

I spent an hr trying to figure out the automation in Omnisphere the first time round,in the previous versions

I have a sticky note up as a reminder "Enable host automation",in Omnipshere" :D
