Single shots play back too short after recording

Post by muthafunka » Mon Jan 20, 2003 4:06 pm

Racked up some short stabs assigned to midi keys. Loop and warp are off and clips set to trigger. When I play sounds in from midi keys everything sounds OK but after recording, the stabs in the palyback don't play thier full length-where am I going wrong?
Many thanks,
nik

Darn... I don't even have 2.1 yet... >:)

...but, just a thought: when you play the stabs, are you holding the key down for the duration of the playback, or just long enough to trigger the sample?

Is the length of the *recorded* stab corresponding to the length of time you're holding down the key trigger?

See what I'm getting at here?

Actually, I'm kind of hoping the answer is yes... that when key triggering samples they don't automatically playback at full length, but only as long as you hold the key, at least when recording them... (or there's a setting somewhere to define it...)

Or else maybe it's a bug...

anyone else who isn't just guessing? :)
