samples location?

If I have my OS and Live on an SSD is it better to have my samples on that same SSD or an external USB drive?

It is up to you. If you have the space SSD will allow faster loading but if you don’t or don’t plan on using these samples often an external mechanical is fine. Most Live samples load pretty fast anyways unless you are using a multi gigabyte orchestral or Live Drum patch.

Keep in mind I’m referring about a mechanical desktop style external which requires power and is a bit faster than the smaller laptop style external which are usb bus powered and slower.
