Mapping X-Y from Hardware to Live

Not sure why I have such a hard time with this. I am trying to map NI Straylight's X/Y pad to either the joystick on my AKAI MPKmini, or my Roli Seaboard X/Y pad, but I just can't seem to get the plugin, app, and hardware to all talk to each other.

Any ideas what I must be missing?

I am on a Windows 10 machine.

You would map to something in Live, not to another controller.... Unless I'm missing something...
