That said, the other thread szwagier referred to is probably mine, and I gave up. I tried the BCR on two computers, tried flashing the firmware via midi, uninstalling, reinstalling. I just couldn't be bothered any more. The BCR's brother, the BCF, still worked, and they use the same driver, so I could only conclude that the BCR was somehow broken. I'm just really surprised that no modern equivalents have popped up, because, like Angstrom says, the layout and functionality make so much sense. I've suggested to Novation that they should make a sibling to the Launch Control XL, with endless rotaries and possibly touch strip faders, but in the meantime, I've just gotten used to the regular non-endless knobs of the XL.
