Hello,
Newbie here. I'm working on a larger set and trying to reduce CPU load. I've been told freezing tracks is the way to go. However, when I freeze them, the majority of the instruments cut out or completely disappear when played back.
For example, one of my tracks has sustained chords, but when I freeze it, the first notes of each chord-change will play for a second, but then cut out. It even shows it doing so in the converted audio waveform.
I'm not sure if it's my plug-ins, computer, or Ableton itself. I don't know what's going on. I've spent hours researching this but to no avail. It's 2 am and I'm reaching out to you. If you know any solutions or things I'm doing wrong. I would to love to hear it and would be very grateful!
I'm using Ableton Live Suite 10.1 with plugins by EastWest.
Thank you so much for your time.
Sound Dies Out When Freezing Track
Re: Sound Dies Out When Freezing Track
Pretty sure it's an issue with your specific plugin.
Now the question is:
is it a bug in the plugin itself, or is it a bug in the way Live treats this plugin? Could be related to parameters like e.g the plugins legato mode or something like that.
Drop an email to support@ableton.com
thx

Re: Sound Dies Out When Freezing Track
Thank you for your reply,
Would you know by chance how I could solve or troubleshoot this, assuming if my plugins are the issue? None of them have had their legato settings touched.
Thank you, I have sent an email to them. However, it's a matter of whether or not they'll get back to me with a fix.
It's very weird because it's effecting every instrument. I'm seeing other people on the internet freezing, flattening, and playing back their tracks without any hassle or change to their instruments. What am I doing wrong, or not doing right?

HI,
I've found the fix: don't use the VST3 version. Just the VST one.
