Cannot type in parameter value for VST device parameters
Cannot type in parameter value for VST device parameters
Is this normal? On native Live plugins I can click any parameter and type in a precise numerical value, but this doesn't seem to work with VST device parameters. Anyone else noticed this?

Re: Cannot type in parameter value for VST device parameters
That's right, I first configure the parameters I want to expose in the device panel—for easy access—and the idea was to be able to adjust the parameter to a specific value by typing it in rather than by dragging the slider which is more fiddly, but Live won't let me focus the numeric field, therefore the only way to adjust the parameter is to move the slider.ShelLuser wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 9:37 amAlso interesting: how (and where?) are you trying to set this up? Some VST's will auto-import their settings but most of them don't, which means that you'd have to first configure the parameters which you want to modify and then modify those within the Ableton 'pseudo device'. However, this depends a little on the vst, the kind of parameter and where you're trying to modify things.
In the following example, the values of parameters Gain and Mix can be typed in, but the value of Osc B Amount can't:
