Sampler: How do you control Sample Start point?

Post by arafel » Wed Sep 11, 2019 2:10 pm

Abes Sampler instrument seems to have limited controller mapping..
Am I crazy here?

I've tried 'Map' when its in a group, and 'Midi Control' directly.
Both methods do not show Sample Start, Loop Start/ End, or even Root Key as controllable, or Automatable.

This cant be right, so I'm asking with a red face of ignorance (after years of live use).

Background:
I've been really diggin 'Velostretch' by Gary Boozy.

It uses Sampler - and has produced great results in altering/ glitching Vocals for me.
But lately I'm trying to be subtle...
Using Sample Start or Loop Start would be ideal.

Thanks for any assistance.

There are a few ways.

1. Use the midi routing tab within Sampler.

2. Use an Envelope or if you’re desperate a super long Square LFO. Then map the Envelope or LFO ‘amount’.
