Hi there
I have recorded a track with my overdub onto it, and I laid down a part of the song but the section is too short and I want to
add more of the original song onto it.
I want to add more to the beginning of the track.
any idea how to do it?
Im running ableton 9 lite

Has it been recorded to the Arrangement window?
If yes, you can place the playhead (cursor) at the point you want to insert some time (at the start) then select the Create menu then Insert Time and then enter the measure of time to insert. This will push everything to the right and insert blank space where you can now record or place your content.
