Anyone using screen capture software?

Ive spent hours trying to get OBS to produce the same sound quality that i hear in ableton and its not happening, it sounds like ass when i listen to it back and think its being heavily compressed somewhere, the bass is louder, the highs have artifacts and i cant figure out why. Ive tried recording in different formats, bit rates etc etc...

Is anyone using OBS or other screen capture software and having good results? Im wanting perfect ( or as close as ) audio quality which im not getting with OBS

Thanks

I use to just use an idea shadow play but the latest drivers hide the mouse in desktop mode so now use OBS.

Because I use ASIO drivers it creates an issue where screen capture software cannot access the audio stream and using WDM drivers doesn’t work well so I run the ASIO output from Live out my audio interface and into a mixer where I then send it back into the computer along with my mic and set obs to record the input. Works fine.
