Audio engine locking up with focusrite 2i4

Post by rap429 » Sun Nov 24, 2019 9:53 pm

So I'm using Ableton 10 Suite edition ,build 10.1.5. on a PC with Windows 10, an i7 processor and 32GB RAM. I have a focusrite 2i4 second generation that keeps locking up the audio engine after about 15 to 20 minutes. What I mean by locking up is all midi and user interface still work but the audio will not make a sound. If I go into the focusrite and change the sample rate and then change it back it starts to work again. I can't get it to lock up with anything besides Ableton. Focusrite has been no help at all.

Ensure you are using the correct Focusrite drivers, the 2nd gens drivers are different.

Using the most recent from their website. Thanks for the thought though.

Ensure the interface has its own USB port, not on a hub as they can be quite picky about them. Try different usb ports
