HELP!: Saving Simpler slices as separate .wavs

Post by drdr » Wed Feb 05, 2020 10:24 pm

Hello - pulling my hair out here!

I have a long vocal (about 4 minutes) and I have sliced it up using the Simpler Device.

All I want to do now is save these as separate .wavs.

Does anyone know how to do this?

I don't want to save them to a drum rack, I want to have the individual slices so that I can treat them as individual clips and warp them (the vocalist's timing was going in and out, and I'd like to re-arrange the order of verses).

Thanks - all help appreciated!

There's no direct way to do it.
You either slice by hand and then crop the clips to get separate .wavs (you can crop multiple clips at a time).
Or you slice to drum rack, then crop each sample in the Simplers, and then reach for the separate wavs in your Current Project's Samples folder.

Ok - well:

I have sliced the sample up in Simpler.

Can I transfer this sliced version to Sampler and do what I asked in the OP?

unfortunately not - you'd have to slice the sample again.

• right-click the sample in the browser > slice to new midi clip.
• create one slice per: transient
• slicing preset: slice to single Sampler

now you can export the slices inside the newly created Sampler by selecting them all in the Zone editor.
