SIMPLER / EQ8 all weird

So I have the following issue with SIMPLER : It makes these weird artifacts. It's NOT the sample. I've tried any number of possible samples and it still has that artifacts below the filter...

I think it might be EQ8 as opposed to Simpler. I tried both Simpler and Sampler with a hihat and observed the same issue. I used Analyzer too and it was still showing frequencies well below the cut-off.

I switched the first instance of EQ8 for Fabfilters ProQ3 - perfect. The second EQ8 was not showing any freqs below the ProQ3 cut-off.

Maybe it's a bug, or EQ8 is doing some sort of analog emulation (but I'm not aware that is does). How odd.

Thanks for confirming this! I've always preferred Fabfilter. I just tend to use EQ8 for cleaning low end off stuff that don't need low end and the fact that you can see what your'e doing before opening a VST window...

Guess I'll be changing over to Fabfilter 100%.

I'm wondering how this went under the radar for so long?

The problem it seems is with EQ8 after further checking. If I put a Fabfilter before both those EQs, there is none of those artifacts in Fabfilter but they still appear in EQ8 (both)

That's interesting. I use EQ8 99% of the time and never noticed this. I'm wondering what's happening...

Seeing the same here, looks like a visual error only to me - the low-end shown does not appear in the resulting audio. Live's Spectrum also shows this glitchy phantom low-end. A blank FF Pro-Q after the EQ Eight shows no phantom low end in Pro-Q's display. I also tried my old Live 9.2.3 install - no problem there. Might be worth reporting to support.

I think it may be due to the 0 attack in the OP's sound and how FFT block sizes and averaging (in the analyzer) work with 0 ms sudden peaks (seems OP's sound is a 0 ms noisy sound triggered at 1/16 or even faster).

But I sure can't do the math to check.

You could try to give Simone more explanation before coming here to say she just didn't get it...
I tried to replicate and my observations are the same as Garyboozy: it's a visual glitch.

Can you go back to Simone with more details/examples, please?

I gave Support a much more in-depth explanation of the issue, but it seems the forums are much more help. Thanks for everyone's input... We can probably call this "solved". Let's hope support actually fixes it...
