Massive X just overload my cpu

Post by Squary » Mon Apr 06, 2020 11:58 am

Hello everyone, i would like to come and talk about a little frustration that I may have had with Massive x recently ... My problem is simple, I am opening a new project with a single track with massive x in it. I load the preset "broken bow" then I press a key on my keyboard and magic .... my cpu goes up instantly to 45 percent! I don't have a crazy mac config, but is that normal?

Mac os : High siera 10.13.3
Nom du modèle : Mac mini
Identifiant du modèle : Macmini7,1
Nom du processeur : Intel Core i5
Vitesse du processeur : 2,6 GHz

Cache de niveau 2 (par cœur) : 256 Ko
Cache de niveau 3 : 3 Mo

Massive X uses alot of CPU. Alot more than Massive.

It is up there with Diva, Serum, and Pigments in terms of CPU use.

Some patches more so than others (similar to the other mentioned CPU monsters).

I think alot of Massive X load comes from its graphics as well (I believe there are known issues with certain graphics cards).

Massive X is probably still not fully optimized yet as well.

Many synths when initially released are pretty hoggy and gets optimized over time. Diva now uses less CPU than when it was originally released.

I think they are working on 1.3. I'm guessing it will probably have some optimization improvements. It might help to try to get in the beta program to test.
