video sync alternatives (Windows)
Hello there,
I haven't been able to import videos into Ableton Live 10 Suite for two months now. I have tried all the options suggested by the guide but none of them seem to work anymore.
Today it seemed that Matroska (Haali) + FFDshow had started working again but after restarting the PC (Windows 10) they didn't work anymore.
Do you know alternatives, even external and third party ones, to synchronize a video in Ableton Live 10? Any Max 4 Live device? Anything?
This is driving me crazy, and I'm starting to get worried because I have deadlines and I'm currently stuck

Did you ever find a solution? If so, what are you using? Thanks in advance!

No I'm sorry... I'm switching back to Cubase for scoring

Check out vidplay a vst video player. It's the only sane solution I could find. HOWEVER it does not handle tempo changes as apparently the way Ableton transmits that information is non-standard. Anyway I've been using it to do video game design sound mockups and it's generally great.

You are saving my life thank you so much

This is driving me up the wall. I used to be able to work with video no problem in Ableton and now I get a black screen with "Could not decode video file", with both mov and mp4 files.
One step forward and 5 back with Ableton.

Another post on the forum mentioned specifying Integrated Video as preferred GPU for Live 10 (if you have an Nvidia card and nvidia control panel).

I tried this and suddenly I could import video into L10. Took a bit longer to appear on the timeline after dragging from the browser and while fisrt selecting the video, I still got the "corrupt file warning", but it did work.
Not sure if it can help you but thought I'd mention it.
