Keep recording of new clip going when sequencer has stopped?

Post by ricecrispies » Tue May 05, 2020 8:10 pm

In the session view sometimes I record the output of the master track to a new clip in order to keep a record of my ideas as they develop. What I want to do is to be able to stop the playback of the various loops that are feeding into the master track, but to keep recording my new clip for a few seconds longer in order to catch the delay and reverb etc that continues afterwards. Is it possible to do this? The only way I know to stop the loops is to hit the space bar, but that stops the recording as well.

Of course. if there is a specific function for recording the output of the master track to disk, as there is in Reaper, that would work for me too.
