I know you said only one, but for me, I would like to see a better bit crusher/distortion/saturation plugin. I'm using a lot of 3rd party plugins for that.

Why linear phase?

Most of the stock plugins are excellent, but like mentioned the reverb could use a bit improvement. It's alright for rudimentary needs, but doesn't feel alive enough for big parts. Usually when a stock plugin won't do Max for Live devices save the day! I'll throw a bit of a wild one. A purely for fun visual plugin that could play patterns and shifting colors (or any kind of inspirational/fun animations) around the UI while working on or listening to projects.

My two favorites suffer from bugs so I’d love them to be “upgraded” so they just work :
- Convolution reverb
- Collision

iMac 27" Retina i5 3,2 GHz OS 10.11.3 L10.0.1 M4L.

For vocal recordings a nice De-esser could come handy. I also have Reason 11 suite and bought the Selig De-Esser for it as rack extension. That is the thing I miss in Live 10 suite........ 8O
This somewhat can be done with standard compressor or the multiband.

Much more useful for mastering purposes and problem solving than a non-linear phase processor.

Not a plugin, but related, I’d like a proper plugin manager rather than the lists of VST/AU plugins that I can’t organise.

As for plugins, better and fuller-featured metering would be useful, also a good transient shaper, an LA-2A style compressor and a Pultec-style eq.

An updated plugins rack/container that could easily do (without workarounds) parallel, multiband and mid-side splitting of the group of plugins (something similar like Studio One's Splitter) would be great.
Some character distortion device like SoundToys' Decapitator also would be fine

Saturator is one of my favorites though for drums. I think Ableton does pretty well when it comes to basic saturation/distortion (at least for synths and drums).

Hardly ever use the Redux though, it definitely could be improved.
Ableton Amp is ok for Guitars but not great.
Overdrive - I never use this even though I hear it is good.
Dynamic Tube - Extremely subtle and a bit convoluted GUI but once you dial it in properly using the envelopes, its not bad.

All three of the following though are great for distortion:

Autofilter
Pedal
Drum Buss

I think the biggest elephants in the room are:

1. Reverb (Stock is ok but it definitely can be alot better)
2. Chorus (This definitely needs to be improved).
3. Autotune/Melodyne light style effect, that could also double as a Pitch drop effect by automating the pitch knob with the envelopes
4. Some type of easier to use Glitch type effect like FL Studio Gross Beat. Beat Repeat is nice but Gross Beat is alot more modern with a cleaner/slicker GUI. Maybe Beat Repeat could get overhauled a good bit with the expanding Window like Wavetable to show more details.

That said Ableton's native effects are overall pretty good IMO.

Compressor, Glue, EQ8, Channel EQ, Echo, Saturator, Pedal, Autofilter are some of my favorite plug-ins native or not. It took me a while to really like the Compressor but once I started tweaking the knobs, it is a really nice/clean sounding Compressor thats not too hard to dial-in. Definitely not a character comp but probably on of my favorite "clean" sounding Compressors. Great for vocals, drums, and about anything when used properly.

I hate to say it but when using other DAWs, I honestly feel crippled without those Native Ableton effects sometimes
