Easy way to split midi clip?

Post by RabidTunes » Sat Jun 13, 2020 11:40 am

So I've downloaded a midi file of a song I like in order to make a remix for it... but the MIDI clip lasts for 2 minutes. Is there an easy way to split it up in smaller midi clips with each clip having the size of 1 bar for example? Thanks in advance

Drop it in arrangement view then edit to your heart's content!

Session View
make a 1 bar loop from the loop.
copy that to the clip below.
make another 1 bar loop that picks up where the previous loop ended.
repeat the above two steps until the end of the track.
use FOLLOW MODE to get the Clips to play one after another.

Arrange View
Ctrl-e to split a clip. then you can move those clips to Session View.

Aaah yes this is exactly what I was looking for, but I didn't know about CTRL + E. Although I thought there was a fastest/automated way but this is just good for what i need. Thanks a lot!
