I just got Cinematic Studio Strings... they are definitely a huge improvement in sound/realism/control over the Ableton Orchestral Strings pack
However they have pretty high latency, especially in legato mode... 60-100 ms depending on which articulation you use. I used delay compensation to offset this... but then I started to notice it was really hard to play on time using midi instruments... and if I understand correctly, it's the delay compensation that is adding to the overall latency
I'm trying to add a drum part now... and the latency is driving me insane
This ableton doc https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... ce-latency suggests to freeze and flatten your tracks that use delay compensation to improve latency, however I'm still composing this song, so I'm not ready to get rid of my midi tracks just yet
Any suggestions?
