Stereo Pan Mode Question
Stereo Pan Mode Question
I'm curious if the panning in Ableton happens post efx or pre?
With the new split stereo pan mode, if I have a mono file but I add a stereo effect to it, like a delay or reverb, do I then use split stereo pan mode or is the panning happening before the efx so I use the old pan mode?

Re: Stereo Pan Mode Question
Yeah, I was pretty happy when they added that. I do a lot of piano work, so panning the piano to be make room for other instruments on the other side of the virtual stage meant cutting the sound on one end of the keyboard. Obviously, there are plugins that do what I needed, but nice to have it in Live now.
